Open banking
Also called: bank check, verify with your bank.
What it collects
You log in to your own bank through an FCA-regulated provider and consent to the bank confirming that you are over 18. The service does not see your statements; it receives a yes or no. Providers named on this site include OneID and ConnectID (via k-ID for Tumblr).
OneID reported 1.1 million bank-based checks in the first days after 25 July 2025 (its own figure; see the OneID page).
