Advertising and affiliate disclosure
At launch there are no affiliate links and no adverts anywhere on this site. This page says what will happen if that changes, so the rules are public before any money is.
Affiliate links, if added
- Every affiliate link will be labelled Ad beside the link and will carry a "sponsored" attribute, so that you and search engines can tell it from a citation. A build check fails the site if either is missing.
- Never for a VPN product, in any form. This site carries no VPN recommendations, comparisons, links or codes.
- Never on an adult or gambling entry. Those pages carry no outbound links of any kind.
- Candidates, in order: privacy tools that fit the "what do they keep" question, such as a privacy-focused email or password manager and personal-data removal services. Each will be named here when live.
What commission cannot change
A gate status, a method, a vendor or a retention quotation only ever comes from a published source with its URL and date. Rows are ordered by name, date or category, never by whether anyone pays. Vendors are profiled on the same footing whether or not they ever advertise; a paid vendor profile, if that is ever offered, will be labelled as paid on the page.
Display advertising, if added
- Only on service and guide pages. Never on the correction form.
- VPN creatives that mention age checks are refused, whatever the network serves.
- No advertisers of age-restricted products (alcohol, gambling) unless the audience rules are met; the simplest way is to exclude those categories, which is the plan.
- A consent banner with an equally easy "reject all" appears before anything personalised runs, and the privacy notice changes first.
Independent register. Not affiliated with Ofcom, the ICO, or any service or vendor listed. Every fact is quoted from a published source with the date we checked it. Spotted an error? Use the correction link on the page.
