Notes
Vinted’s “Verify your age” help page (undated, read 18 October 2026): “To continue using Vinted, you need to verify that you’re at least 18 years old. This is a standard check to ensure you meet our minimum age requirements. Simply provide a document that confirms your full name and date of birth as it appears on your account.” The steps are “Press Contact us at the end of this page” and “Upload photo proof of a valid document”. “If you’re under 18, only your parents or guardians may manage the Vinted account and verify their age on your behalf. We may have to ban your account if you can’t verify your age (as stated in our Terms and Conditions).” Vinted’s “Signing up on Vinted” page: “Vinted is designed for individuals aged 18 and older. If children under 18 wish to use Vinted, a parent or guardian must set up and oversee their account, taking full responsibility for its activity, and ensuring all legal requirements are met.” Vinted’s UK User Terms and Conditions (“New version applicable from 08-10-2026”): a user “is at least 18 years old”; “The Site is intended for use by persons who are over 18 years old. If you are a parent or a guardian of a minor who is younger than 18 years old, you may decide to create an Account for the minor. By doing so, you accept these Terms on behalf of such a minor and you take full responsibility for the minor’s use of the Site (including, when requested, any regulatory compliance verification or check)”. The help page does not say what prompts the request.

Notes: Vinted’s page accepts, if it shows full name and date of birth: “Identity or residence card; Passport; Driving licence; Student ID card; Social or health insurance card; Public transport pass; Bank statement; Any other document that confirms your full name and date of birth.” “For your privacy, please make sure to hide unrelated personal information (such as ID numbers, photos, or addresses) from your documents. We only need to be able to see your full name and date of birth.” “Your data is always handled in line with our Privacy Policy and is only requested when necessary.” Vinted’s privacy policy (last updated 19 June 2026) sets periods for other documents, not for age documents: “Any documents you send to confirm account ownership are kept for 3 days.” and, of payment providers’ identity checks, “We don’t store the KYC documents you provide.” No retention period for an age-verification document is published, so the absence line applies.
