Corrections

If a service's or vendor's own page says something different from this site, that page wins and we want to know. Send the URL. Corrections are answered within a week, the entry is changed, and the change is logged in the changelog with its source. Nothing you send is published.

How it works

  1. Tell us which entry and what is wrong, with the URL of the page that shows the correct wording.
  2. A human reads that page. If it is the service's, vendor's or a regulator's own page, the entry is updated with the quotation and the date it was read. If it is press, it is recorded as a secondary source and labelled as such.
  3. The change appears in the entry's changelog with the label "user_tip", in the entry's RSS feed and in the site changelog. Your name and email are never shown.
  4. If we do not agree that a change is needed, we reply saying why, with the source we relied on.

Services and vendors: your own policy page is the primary source for your entry. Point us at it and the wording is replaced with the quotation. If you believe an entry is wrong and damaging, say so in the form and it is handled first.

Send a correction

The form sends an email to the editor and stores nothing. If the email service is unavailable, it opens your own mail app with the message filled in. If you give an email address it is kept only until the correction is resolved, then deleted (see the privacy notice). No analytics and no third-party scripts run on this page.
